ABOUT US

Nurul Huda wal Iman min hadartil Laah is a non-profit organization, inspired by the life and work of the revered Sheikh Al Jalil Elhadj Alpha Oumar Diallo (RTA). Through this organization, we are committed to preserving and perpetuating his spiritual, social, and educational legacy.

Affectionately called Thierno Oumar (RTA), he was a man of exemplary faith and the General Caliph of the Tijaniyyah in Guinea-Bissau. Throughout his life, he worked for peace among peoples, strengthened ties between communities, supported thousands of families in need, taught the Holy Qur’an to many generations, and actively contributed to the construction and rehabilitation of mosques.

  1. Our mission

Our mission is to be the heart, hands, and feet of Thierno Oumar (RTA), by continuing his social, educational, and spiritual work in service to the communities.

  1. Our Vision

Nurul Huda wal Iman min hadartil Laah works towards the emergence of a thriving Fouladou, based on quality Islamic education, solid and accessible to all.

This vision is based on:

· the creation of daara training learners in all disciplines of Islamic science,

· the development of specialized vocational training centers contributing to the economic autonomy of the populations,

· The establishment of modern health infrastructures accessible to the populations of Fouladou and the sub-region.

  1. Our values

· Education, Brotherhood, Generosity, Work and Ethics.

  1. Problem:

In several communities of Fouladou, there is:

· a lack of structured access to Quranic education,

· an absence of vocational training for young people from the daaras,

· insufficient or defective religious and social infrastructures,

· heightened poverty and insecurity.

This limits the social and economic integration of the populations.

  1. Goals

General Objective

Sustainably improve the living conditions of communities through education, solidarity, and socio-economic development.

Specific Objectives

· Organize Quranic education

· Strengthen religious infrastructures

· Support vulnerable populations

· Promote the professional integration of young people

  1. Our Services

· Religious education and vocational training

· Renovation and maintenance of mosques

· Solidarity actions

  1. Strategic Axes (Pillars of the Organization)

The organization aims to sustain the actions of Cheikh Al Jalil, a spiritual guide and model of community life.

A man of wisdom and knowledge, he dedicated his life to the unity of peoples, the love of the Quran, and the transmission of knowledge, sending his own children as well as those of many families to the daara.

The organization is structured around three main axes:

  1. Quranic Education

In order to continue the educational work of Thierno Oumar (RTA), the organization plans:

· Recruitment of qualified Quranic teachers

· Their deployment in partner villages and neighborhoods

· Full support for the teachers

· Implementation of a teacher rotation system (every 3 months)

· Construction of equipped daara (housing + learning space)

· Visual identification with the project logo

Objective: to ensure quality education and prevent management abuses.

  1. Maintenance and Rehabilitation of Mosques

Throughout his life, Thierno Oumar (RTA) worked exclusively for the cause of Allah (SWT). His most precious legacy remains the great mosque of Samansata.

In this continuity, the organization is committed to:

· ensuring regular maintenance of mosques

· providing equipment (mats, carpets, etc.)

· carrying out renovation works (painting, repairs),

· building modern sanitary facilities.

Thus, each establishment of a daara will be accompanied by support for the community mosque.

  1. Solidarity, Iftar during Ramadan, and distribution of Qurans in the mosques

Renowned for his great generosity, Thierno Oumar (RTA) actively supported the needy, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan.

In this spirit, the organization plans:

· The organization of community iftars,

· The distribution of food and meals to the needy,

· The distribution of thousands of Qur’ans in various targeted mosques.

This initiative, started in 2024 in Samansata with the founder’s own funds, has already welcomed dozens of beneficiaries.

  1. Future projects

The establishment of:

· vocational training centers in the following fields: sewing, metal carpentry, plumbing, horticulture, fish farming, beekeeping, creation and management of poultry farms, etc.

Indeed, it has been observed that many residents of the daara do not have qualifications that allow them sustainable professional integration. These vocational trainings thus aim to fight against unemployment among the beneficiaries by providing them with concrete skills adapted to the labor market.

· Multilingual schools: French-Arabic-English, Portuguese-English-Arabic,

· Modern health centers

· Support for needy pilgrims during the Hajj and Umrah by providing them with wheelchairs. To date, 2 wheelchairs are in service. The goal is to reach 5 wheelchairs in order to request official accreditation.

  1. Expected impacts

· Reduction of youth unemployment from the daara

· Improvement of access to religious education

· Strengthening of social cohesion

· Improvement of living conditions

· Economic empowerment of the population
